Dr. Jean Casey’s book is a handbook for converting elementary language arts curriculum into an interactive learning experience for the students. This book displays many examples of student work and it is an easy read for any busy teacher. Dr. Casey teaches how to use technology as a tool to bring writing alive for all level learners. One of my favorite activities that I have used in my classroom has been the Readers’ Theatre. The students can write and illustrate their own stories on the computer, print the stories then let the students read and perform in class. Another level of integration with their stories is to convert the documents into a (.jpeg) file to import into the software application Photo Story 3 so they can record their voices reading their stories and create a digital story to video format. Students are so motivated to read and write because they want to use the technology tools to be producers and publishers.
Dr. Casey book will give teachers new ideas and inspire their creativity to come alive in themselves and in the lives of the students. This book also contains many valuable website resources. I would like to mention one such as, Assistive Technologies closes the gap on learning difficulties, [...]

I would like to thank Dr. Jean Casey for inspiring me in my teaching career.
