This book breaks networking down to it’s root level and then re constructs it in a way that is easily understandable. It is very easy to read from cover to cover. It covers everything from cabling requirements to the OSI model to virtual lans and beyond.
This book is a must for anyone getting started in internetworking or for those preparing for the Cisco certification exams. I used this in conjunction with the ICRC exam from BeachFront Quizzer for my first exam.
This book provides up to date information on a wide variety of topics. Of course this book does not give an in depth explanation of every topic it can give you a sufficient answer. I would reccomend this book especially to those who are just getting started in the internetworking field.
