The book explains the purpose of the Red String..which is not included...but you can order online. It also gives a lot of good insight...this is just a start in learning about Kabbalah...which I plan to do is learn more about so I can become a better person. It was extraordinarily moving. I wish the instructions had been more explicit as I "wasted" some string by cutting it in thirds (there were of us).
